Hearts Go Home At Christmas

Showcased at Jerry's site with written permission from Copyright holder, Mike Bennett.

No matter how far you go,
 no matter where you roam,
you can always have a merry Christmas,
because you can always go home.

Just close your eyes and think about
 Christmas of the past.
The joy planted inside your heart then,
 was meant to last.

Think about it, and you'll remember,
that love was all around you
 and kept you warm through
the long, cold nights of December,
love that you could see in the eyes
and hear in the voice of family and friends.

 Everywhere you turned
there was happiness and goodwill to lend.
Any hole that crept into your heart,
the spirit of the season could easily mend.
You can feel this magic again
 this holiday season.

You don't need a reason.
to remember the good times of yesteryear.
 All you have to do
is close your eyes and think about home,
and the love inside will take you there.

May we all remember Christ, who is the reason for the season,
and the true Christmas spirit this year and always.
