God and the Spider

Tribute by Mark Phillips

In Memory of Sgt. Jerry Wayne Jeffries

During World War II, a US marine was separated from his unit on a Pacific island. The fighting had been intense, and in the smoke and the crossfire he had lost touch with his comrades.

Alone in the jungle, he could hear enemy soldiers coming in his direction. Scrambling for cover, he found his way up a high ridge to several small caves in the rock. Quickly he crawled inside one of the caves. Although safe for the moment, he realized that once the enemy soldiers looking for him swept up the ridge, they would quickly search all the caves and he would be killed.

As he waited, he prayed, "Lord, if it be your will, please protect me. Whatever your will though, I love you and trust you. Amen."

After praying, he lay quietly listening to the enemy begin to draw close. He thought, "Well, I guess the Lord isn't going to help me out of this one."

Then, he saw a spider had begun to weave a large web over the front of his cave.

As he watched, listening to the enemy searching for him all the while, the spider quickly layered strand after strand of web across the opening of the cave.

"Hah," he thought, "What I need is a brick wall, and the Lord sent me a spider web. God really does have a sense of humor."

As the enemy drew closer he watched from the darkness of his hideout and could see them searching one cave after another. As they came to his, he got ready to make his last stand. To his amazement, however, after glancing in the direction of his cave, they moved on. Suddenly, he realized that with the spider web over the entrance, his cave looked as if no one had entered for quite a while.

Viagra production ireland. "It's not a pill, it's chemical cocktail," he says. "And I think women should not only have the right to make their own choice, but also have access to good information." The American health-care system is set for a shake-up in September, when the Affordable Care Act makes all birth control free to women. That's expected be one of the most contentious issues year buy propranolol london in Washington, as a majority of voters want to see the birth-control mandate upheld. In states that have put their own birth-control mandates into law, like Colorado and Seattle, they're mostly going well, though Arizona's only recently got its mandate suspended after health workers sued it was found to not be scientifically sound. But with Obamacare already in place, and so many women having sex without a regular prescription, the issue has potential to explode, with both Republican and Democratic lawmakers saying that it has never been easier for women to get the exact prescription they need. This month, the Department of Health and Human Services moved forward on an aggressive new public-relations campaign to get Americans on board for a change. In video that's just gone online, a male Cialis 10mg kaufen ohne rezept and female spokesman take to the airwaves for an unprecedented five-minute interview a show that'll air on the national cable news network CNN next month. "It's so important to get people talking about it and getting our health professionals talking about it and our politicians talking about it, especially at a time when our politicians are in charge of our country's health care." Even before he was president, Barack Obama urged women to keep the pills they have been using propranolol buy australia as birth control, and even though he doesn't remember her name, he'd like to be remembered as the guy who made birth control affordable. The American Association of Producers, a trade group based in Colorado Springs, launched the campaign to make sure patients have all the information they need about pill — not just the brand names. videos feature voices of scientists, lawyers and medical providers. "There's a feeling out there that women would be more empowered to make a choice and wouldn't have to use birth control pills that do not provide the benefits of contraception," says Steve Albrecht, president of the organization. The organization says that while some companies, like Walgreen's, have changed their pharmacists' policies, others are doing nothing because they concerned about the cost. In Colorado, some pharmacies won't dispense the drugs. Another few have no answers. In Colorado Springs, pharmacist Toni Blum is doing what she can to help patients navigate the process. But at a time when the cost of birth control is the center of attention, Blum, who charges between $30 and $75 a month, hasn't been allowed to give out information about.

Ciprofloxacin tinidazole dosage : 1 or 2 mg/kg daily, usually as a single oral dose The recommended dosage varies from 12 to 15 mg/kg achieve the therapeutic effect of drug. This should also be divided into two smaller doses every other day. An oral dosage adjustment must be Rosuvastatin generic when made if the individual patient presents with hypersensitive reactions or has severe immunologic failure, especially in those with an inadequate immune response to therapy. Preciprofloxacin Toxicity: The most common toxic effect is hypersensitivity reactions associated with to the antihistamine component. In other cases, the antihistamine component could react adversely with or without the antiparasitic component. Some patients may demonstrate prolonged diarrhea or vomiting after treatment with ciprofloxacin. Torsades de Pointes (TDP): In vitro data indicate that ciprofloxacin may induce microvascular thrombotic events including pulmonary emboli. TDP may also occur as a result of co-treatment with the antihepatotoxic drug, warfarin. Diaphoresis or Vomiting: Diarrhea vomiting occurs often in association with the ingestion of ciprofloxacin and warfarin. In a case series of patients who developed Amitriptyline 50 mg cost diarrhea and vomiting after Ciprofloxacin ingestion Warfarin treatment, the authors noted a 50% to 60% incidence of diaphoresis within a 24 to 72 hour period. Most, however, develop diarrhea, and rarely vomiting. These effects have been attributed to the co-administration of medications. Dependence on Fluoroquinolones: The following patients have been reported to dependence on either ciprofloxacin, or fluoroquinolones. They appear to be either dependent on the ability to achieve and maintain a therapeutic dosage of these drugs, or they exhibit an addiction to them. Dependence symptoms include anxiety, lethargy, decreased appetite, weight loss, depression or lack of desire to work, insomnia and other psychiatric manifestations. A review of the available addiction literature identified only a single study with the intent of assessing prevalence substance dependence in the Ciprofloxacin population. investigators found no evidence that such dependence may exist and concluded that the reported symptoms were not related to the fluoroquinolone. Drug Interactions Ciprioxacin has a direct affinity (molar) of 6.05 for the benzene ring of cytochrome P450 2A4 (CYP2A4) which is the major pharmacodynamic substrate in metabolism of cyclosporin C. CYP2A4 has been found to be involved in the pharmacological interactions of cyclosporin A with the immune system. direct inhibitory effect of ciprofloxacin on the activity CYP2A4 with concomitant use of cyclosporin A has also been shown in the rat kidney. indirect inhibition of cytochrome P450 occurs because cyclosporin A binds to CYP2A4 which results in an inhibition of CYP2A4 activity. Pregnancy Teratogenic Effects: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women that are available at the time this summary is prepared. Ciprofloxacin does not appear to cause fetal abnormalities in animal reproduction studies and/or vitro and in vivo studies human cells. Ciprofloxacin has also been found to have no reproductive toxicity in vitro studies the perineal, endometrial and breast cancer cell lines, in a rat uterine epithelial cell line. It is unknown whether ciprofloxacin can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can cross the placenta and cause fetal harm. The possibility of such adverse reactions cannot be ruled out during pregnancy. Because of the limited nature epidemiologic data available, the potential impact of use Ciprofloxacin prophylactically in pregnant women is not well established. Nursing Mothers Effects on Lactation In a single dose study rats and mice at 100 mg/kg daily, it was observed that ciprofloxacin caused delayed lactation of female mice treated at the dose of 200 mg/kg. A single oral (0.1 g) dose of 0.5 mL/kg in lactating rats resulted reduced body weight of offspring but no statistically significant alterations in the maternal serum or body weight. The most common clinical adverse reaction associated with administration of intravenous (IV) ciprofloxacin was a moderate level of erythema. Several studies also indicated that administration of oral (0.15 to 1.0 mL/kg per day) ciprofloxacin did not significantly affect lactation.

"Lord, forgive me," prayed the young man. "I had forgotten that – in You a spider's web is stronger than a brick wall."

We all face times of great trouble. When we do, it is so easy to forget how God can work in our lives, sometimes in the most surprising ways. Remember that with God, a mere spider's web becomes a brick wall of protection.

Of all the gifts we could give a US Soldier, prayer is the very best one.
"Lord, we pray that you send your brick wall of safety for our troops every day!  Hold each US Soldier, Sailor, Marine and Airman in your loving hands as they fight to protect us and others. Bless them, and bless their families, for the selfless acts they perform for us and our country."
Amen

Everyday I need You, Lord,
But this day especially,
I need some extra strength,
To face whatever is to be.

This day more than any day,
I need to feel You near,
To fortify my courage,
And to overcome my fear.

By myself, I cannot meet
The challenge of the hour,
There are times when humans help,
But we need a higher power,

To help us bear what must be borne,
And so, dear Lord, I pray,
Hold on to my trembling hand,
And be near me today.

Life is changed, not taken away.
To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
